Weekly Update | Disney Chats, Relaxation & Jobs

Before you even start to fully get into this blog post, I'm going to warn you that it involves a rant and a very boring week. I've not done anything exciting this week (my life is so boring, honestly) but that's meant that I've been able to just relax and catch up on sleep. I've been feeling very very bored; now that I've finished Uni I've got absolutely nothing to do. I'm looking for a job but that's not going very well. I seriously miss working with the mouse. 

| Loving |

This week, Liv and I filmed a 'sit-down' video for our YouTube channel. We have already uploaded two vlogs because we've been very busy bees so we thought it would be nice to just sit down and chat to our viewers. Our video this week was a debate, but not just any debate, a Disney debate. We discussed whether we prefer Classic Disney or Modern Disney, and it ended up with us singing 'Circle of Life'. It was absolutely hilarious and I loved just sitting down and chatting to the camera, especially because we got to wear our Minnie Mouse ears and my pretty tiara (I'm nearly 19, I swear). I've been loving just being able to chill out this week and not have to rush around going to meetings or appointments. On Sunday, I spent the day watching Tangled snuggled up on the sofa with Buster. I don't know what more you could want really. Every time I watch that film (which I think is reaching the hundreds) I just love it even more. Rapunzel and Flynn melt my heart. 

Also, this week we got our provisional results from Uni. Provisional meaning that they are subject to change. If you ask me, this was the most pointless thing in the world because they're still not reliable results and I'm probably more stressed out now than I was before. Anyway, surprisingly for me, I did quite well and my tutors were really impressed with what I wrote. Hopefully my grades don't change too much and I'll end first year with a 2:1 or a 1st! 

| Hating |

Be prepared for a rant. 

As I have previously mentioned, I'm getting very bored having nothing to do. This is why I'm currently looking for a job; and I'm applying everywhere and anywhere just to have a little bit of money so I can go out with my friends. I've received so many job rejections this week, all because they want more 'experience'. Well, please can someone inform me how on earth I'm supposed to get experience if no one is willing to offer it? It's not like they are jobs that even need experience, it's not that hard to work a till and it can be picked up pretty quickly. It just seems like no one is willing to train you up anymore. 

I thought that having a company as respected as Disney on my CV would help me to get a job but it's looking like that isn't the case. No one wants to employ me and I don't know why. It's so frustrating and is seriously getting me down. I'm so bored please employ me! 

| Listening |

Although the weather hasn't been great this week, I've been loving Reggie and Bollie's debut single New Girl. I loved these guys on X Factor and this song is definitely going to be one of those that you hear all the time and it will remind you of summer 2016. The Britain's Got Talent semi-finals have been taking place this week and I have been loving Wayne Woodward's cover of 'That's Life' by Frank Sinatra. As we all know, Frank is my favourite so I seriously judge people when they cover his songs. But I was soooo impressed with Wayne, I've been listening to his cover none stop since Monday night. 

| Wearing |

Not so much fashion, but I've been loving wearing my hair naturally this week. I got quite a few messages on Twitter and Instagram asking me how I did my hair in our Disney Video. I basically just let it dry normally and then plait it to give it that extra bit of volume. I've been seriously loving it; it's so low maintenance and it looks so cool, especially for the summer. Liv walked into my room and thought I'd been to the beach. I might start adding some sea salt spray to it to see if it makes any difference; I love an extra beachy hair look. 

| Eating |

I've been super unhealthy this week, consuming a lot of crisps and sweets. I really should be trying to get into shape for the summer but I just love food a bit too much. I'm going to try and be healthier next week. The one food I've been loving this week has been my Mum's pasta. I don't know how she makes it but it's the most beautiful creation. 

| Feeling |

Chilled. 

Seriously, just so relaxed and chilled. I'm completely rolling with life at the moment; whatever happens is going to happen and I'm loving every day for what it brings. Trying to get back into a positive mind-set is really hard, but I'm slowly getting there. 

| Moment |

The highlight of this week for me was going to the pub quiz with Liv. We haven't been for a couple of weeks, and if you're wondering, we lost again. There was a picture round where you have to guess the name of the person who's photo is shown; simple enough right? Wrong! Liv and I were shocking at it; and there was one face we seriously recognised but couldn't put a name too. When the answers were read out, we realised that it was actually Christian Bale and finished the quiz with 36/50. What a let down we are!

A New Adventure...

For a very long time, YouTube has been something I've wanted to try. I don't know what it is about it, but sitting in my bedroom and speaking in front of a camera seemed pretty fun. However, I didn't want to do it alone; I'm not confident enough to do something like that without someone by my side.

So, who better to create a YouTube channel with than my best friend Liv?!
Wait what? Have we created a YouTube Channel?? Yes. Yes we have! It was something that happened very quickly; we filmed out first video and created our channel all on the same night. The aim for us is to make videos and vlog our daily lives in order to share them with whoever wants to watch. We make each other laugh so hopefully we make you laugh too! 

Today, May 1st 2016, we uploaded our first video to our new YouTube channel, and it would mean so much to both of us if you could watch, like, comment, subscribe and all that jazz! We filmed the 'Most Likely To' Tag video thing and it was so much fun to film. It includes sing-songs, bloopers and a lot of laughs!

Disneyland Paris Vlog 2015

Hello Everyone!

So, as most of you know, in the Summer, my friends and I went to Disneyland Paris for a couple of days. Whilst we were there, we filmed some little bits, which I have compiled into a video to upload onto YouTube. This is no 'Zoella' standard, but it's cute, so I think you should give it a watch!

New Ideas and Giveaway?

Hello Everyone!

A new blog post to start a new month! :)
I'm going to apologise in advance for this post being a little bit of a ramble, but there are a couple of things I really want to address. As you may, or may not, have noticed, the header and theme for my blog has changed a little bit. I wanted to make my blog a little more professional and I felt that my previous design had a little bit too much going on. I hope you guys don't think this is too plain and that you really like it. 

Also, after some events at University, I now have a lot more time on my hands. In fact, way more time than I ever expected to have. This means that I can focus on my blog, and seeing as I'm doing a creative writing degree, it fits in perfectly. Sometimes, my posts get quite a lot of views, and a lot of people really seem to like them, however others get minimal views. I would like to know the type of thing that you guys like to see on a blog, the type of things you read and the content you would like to see me post. I get bloggers block quite frequently so if you leave me some responses in the comments that would be really brilliant, 

If it's the giveaway that's brought you to this page, then this is what I'm going to talk about now. I'm coming up to my 100th blog post, and that's very weird. I'm never normally a person to stick to particular things, but with this blog, it's been something I've really looked after. I take it seriously and see it as my own little place on the internet where I can be myself and have my own voice. I love buying new beauty products, testing them out and writing a review for people to read. It's one of my favourite things. Anyway, onto the giveaway. As some of you know, I've been really loving the Revolution Make Up Collection recently, and I was thinking of doing some form of giveaway of some of their products to a lucky person who reads my blog. I think it'd be a really cool thing to do, so you should let me know what you think about that! :)

Overall, I hope you all still really like to read this blog, as much as I love writing on it. It'd mean a lot to me if you could give me some feedback in the comments below. Also, whilst you're at it, my bestest friend has decided to join the blogging community. Her name is Olivia, or Liv as I call her, and she has a film blog where she writes reviews on films and talks about life in general. It's a really lovely blog so you should go and show her some love. Cornwall 2015 | The Most Eventful Holiday Ever!

Hello Everyone!

Okay, so I want to start by saying that I'm really sorry that I haven't posted anything this past week. I've recently been away on my yearly family holiday to Cornwall, and it's probably been one of the most eventful three weeks of my life, so my blog posts went a bit doo-lally. 

When we arrived down in Cornwall, the sunshine was cracking the flags and we pulled up at our Caravan site in a little town called Rejarrah. This year we went to a completely different site, so it was really nice to have a change. It was on this site that I met my two little companions for the holiday; Blue and Ted. These two cute little things were the horses owned by the lady who was the owner of the caravan site. Everyday I fed them carrots and helped her to look after them. I have to be honest, I'm really missing those cheeky little fellas. 

For the first few days, we spent all of our time on the beach, apart from one day when we went into Truro to do some shopping but we won't talk about that. The beach provided me with a chance to get some beautiful photos of the sea and the sand, plus watching the surfers is always one of my favourite things. Sadly, this year, I only got a chance to surf a couple of times, but it was still really fun and I got some awesome waves. However, the seagulls were such pests!! I can't begin to explain to you how frustrated they made me. It seemed that they could just see where food was and they'd dive around and try to steal it from you. I thought I was going to die. 

The weather then deteriorated and this was when disaster struck. Whilst asleep one stormy Friday night, I started to hear a dripping sound. I thought nothing of it and went back to sleep. However, when we woke up that morning, we realised that it wasn't just 'nothing' in fact, the roof of the caravan was leaking. Therefore, the day was spent with buckets on the floor catching the water, and nothing for any of us to do. The repair man couldn't get to us in time either, so we just had to make do with what we had. If you think that's bad, trust me, it gets worse. 

So, as I said, we'd spent the previous day trying to stop water from flowing into the Caravan, therefore we thought that the holiday couldn't get any worse. But how wrong were we? The rain stopped and Dad thought it would be a good idea to try and put some tape over the spot where the water was coming in. This is what he spent most of the morning doing. We had some lunch and then decided to head off to the beach; or so we thought. I was sat in the car with the dog when I saw my Dad rushing to the toilets clutching his hand, Mum was banging on the window shouting for me to help her but I had no clue what was going on. "We need to get your Dad to the Hospital Now!". I didn't know what on earth was going on but we shot down to Perranporth surgery, my Dad's finger flowing with blood, only to find that it was closed. We then had to treck for twenty minutes to A&E which was where we spent most of the day. Dad had jumped to grab something from the top of the Caravan, his wedding ring had caught on a pole and dragged half the skin of his finger off. The sight was horrible. However, he only thought he would need a couple of stitches and would be out in no time. As we sat in the Accident and Emergency department, he was called in straight away, and then I didn't see him for another two hours. I had no clue what was going on, and, after watching three consecutive episodes of 'The Chase' I was getting very bored and very impatient. 

Then Dad came out and called me into a room. He still hadn't been seen by a nurse. He had his wedding ring cut off but no one has been in for the past two hours and he didn't know what was going on. An hour later, the surgeon came in and told him that he would need to go into Theatre for an operation on his finger. They told him that he was extremely lucky not to have lost his finger but reassured us that he was going to be okay. 

That night, Mum and I waited and waited for a call to go and pick him up after he had been into Theatre, but we got nothing. Turns out, they decided to keep him in overnight and luckily, at lunchtime the following morning, we got a phone call from the hospital telling us that the operation had gone well, Dad was doing fine and that he was ready for us to collect him. Thank God! 

Gradually, the weather picked up again and Dad started to recover really well. That's why we spent so long at the beach and I got some gorgeous photos of the Sunset. I love watching the sunset at the beach, especially in Cornwall. It's one of my favourite things to do. I think that it's one of those thing that just makes you appreciate how beautiful the world actually is. We don't have to pay for spectacular sites like that, it's just the picturesque surroundings that we take for granted. We watched so many sunsets, and I posted so many photos on Instagram, that I'm pretty sure people got very fed up of seeing my new found obsession with the sunset. 

One of my favourite things, not only about Cornwall, but in the whole wide world, is food. And especially cream teas. One day in Newquay, we went to the cutest little café at the side of the harbour and I had this delicious cream tea; it was the nicest thing I have ever tasted. I'm getting extremely hungry just writing about it. yum yum yum.

Looe is my favourite place to visit when we go down to Cornwall. It is the most adorable little village, with what can only be described as breath taking views of the sea. It also has the cutest café's to visit, who seem to sell the nicest hot chocolate ever. Plus, look how cute and excited my little buddy looks to be on the beach!

One of my favourite days of the holiday, and possibly one of the most fun days, was when we visited the quaint little village of Port Isaac. This is the place where the hit ITV series 'Doc Martin' is filmed and we were able to find his house, and see where all of the major scenes are set which was so lovely. As you can see from the photos above, I took it upon myself to take a wonderful selfie with his house. However, we didn't just come to Port Isaac to see Doc Martin; on a Friday night, at around 7pm, a Cornish group called the Fisherman Friends stand at the harbour and play songs whilst everyone joins in, eating their fish and chips. So, we got our fish and chips and headed down to the harbour, settling down in our place. An hour later, at half past seven, we were still waiting, and there was still no one here, we didn't really know what to expect or what to do. This was when we found out from a family sat next to us that the band weren't coming tonight because they were performing elsewhere. Just our luck ey?! It was still a lovely place to visit, and I got to see Doc Martin so it was all good in my point of view.

Last but not least, in our last few days, we headed over to Healeys Cornish Cider Farm which is where they make the famous Cornish Rattlers Cider. This is THE nicest cider in the world, and as many people know, it's my favourite drink in the summer. I know as soon as I start to drink Cider that it's the summer again. At Healey's, I was literally in cider heaven. There were so many different kinds and flavours, plus we were able to see how it is made and walk around the orchards which was amazing. I'm also pictured above with my first legal pint of Rattlers Cider which I proudly purchased for myself.

So, there's my eventful holiday for you. Due to Dad being unwell and having to go to the hospital, we decided to book another week down in Cornwall to catch up on the days that we missed, hence the reason why there haven't been any posts up this week. If you're wondering, or if you're bothered, my Dad is on the mend now and is doing really really well. Overall, despite all the drama, we still had such a wonderful holiday and Cornwall remains one of my favourite places in the world!
