My Hogwarts Story

Harry Potter isn't something I have expressed my love for before, especially not on my blog. However, along with Disney, watching the films and reading the books was a massive part of my childhood. I was so obsessed with the concept of there actually being a school for people who could do magic, and I always wanted to be Luna Lovegood.

I have been tagged by the lovely Victoria from acciovictoria to answer some questions all about My Hogwarts Story. If you haven't already, you should definitely go over and check out her blog because she's one of my favourites and I know you'll love her as much as I do!

So, lets get started!

1. Are you Pure Blood, Half Blood or Muggle Born?
I've never even thought about this before, but I think I'd probably be a Pure Blood.

2. Which wand chose you and what is it made of?
According to Pottermore, this is the wand that would choose me.

3. Did you take an Owl, Cat or Toad with you?
I'd definitely have to take a cat with me, I think they're the most affectionate and I've always wanted a pet cat.

4. Where would the sorting hat place you?
Well, I've always thought of myself as a Hufflepuff but Pottermore sorted me into Gryffindor so I think I'm a mix between the two.

5. What house did you want to be in?
Despite popular opinion, I always wanted to be in Hufflepuff because I feel like it's the house that's most suited to me.

6. What lessons are your favourite and least favourite?
I think that potions and flying would be my favourite lessons as I've always loved the thought of learning how to fly on a broom. In terms of my least favourite lessons, I think that it would be Herbology, because I'd get bored and Defence Against the Dark Arts because I get scared really easily. This is why I don't understand why Pottermore told me I'm a Gryffindor because I'm not brave at all.

7. The form your patronus takes is?
The one that comes to mind is a Hare, I think because I'm a little bit of an oddball it would suit me very well.

8. When confronted with a Boggart, what does it look like to you?
One of my biggest fears is death, morbid I know, so I think it would be something to do with either my death or the death of my family and friends which would then result in me being alone, and I hate being alone.

9. Do you partake in any school sports, or magical hobbies?
I'd like to say that I'd try out for the Quidditch team but I'm rubbish at sports so I probably wouldn't make it. I'd be cheering in the crowds! I think if I went to Hogwarts, I'd spend a lot of my time in the library.

10. If you have any free time, where would you be hanging out?
Like I've just said, I think I'd spend a lot of my time in the library, sat outside with friends or cheering for my house at the Quidditch matches.

11. You are most likely to get detention for what?
I never ever had a detention when I was at school, because I never really got into any trouble. I think if I were to get a detention for anything, it would be for sneaking out of bed at night, being late to class or forgetting to do my homework.

12. What career do you want after leaving Hogwarts?
The dream would be to be able to go back and teach at Hogwarts, but I think working at the joke shop with Fred and George, if they were both still with us *cries* would be absolutely hilarious!

I'm going to tag Kathryn from ImagineKathryn!

Lots of Love,
Meg

The Music Tag

Hello Everyone!
I was tagged on Facebook recently to do the 'Music Tag' and I thought, instead of doing it on Facebook, I'd do it on here instead. I love doing these sort of posts because it lets people know a little bit more about me and I have a really diverse music taste, as you're about to see, so I hope you enjoy!
(All the songs I mention will be linked so that you can listen to them if you please)

1) The Last Song You Listened Too
The last song I listened too was 'Heart Out' by The 1975. It's one of my favourites from their album.

2) Last Song You Purchased
The last song I purchased on Itunes was 'What Do You Mean' by Justin Bieber. I'm so glad he's back in music again, I've always been a massive fan of his.

3) Song You Discovered on YouTube
A song I only recently discovered on Youtube is 'Geronimo' by Sheppard. It's a song that's used in a lot of Vlogs but I absolutely love it, it's so catchy and reminds me of the summer

4) Favourite Song from a Musical
I have so many favourite musicals, but I think my favourite song will always be 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' from The Wizard of Oz. I have loved that song since I was a little girl and it'll always be one of my favourites regardless of how old it gets.

5) Favourite Band
Without a doubt, The 1975.

6) Favourite  Solo Artist
This is so easy for me; Taylor Swift. I just love her. But if I could choose someone who wasn't alive, it would have to be Frank Sinatra, he's my favourite!

7) Favourite Album
I have so many good albums, but at this moment, my favourite album is Jess Glynne's debut. I absolutely love it, it is incredible.

8) Best Live Gig
I think the best live gig I have ever been too was probably Chic and Nile Rodgers. The music was just amazing and it was like being at a Festival.

9) Guilty Pleasure Song
It's going to have to be 'Reach' by SClub7. I listen to that song way more than is acceptable for an average human being. It's my happy, motivational song.

10) Song You Used To Hate But Now Like
When I first heard it, I absolutely hated 'Cheerleader' by OMI. I heard it in my friend's car and I was like "Who would even buy this?" but then the more it was played and the more I heard it on the radio, the more I came to love it and now it's one of my favourite songs!

11) Song You Used To Love But Now Can't Stand
I used to love 'Want to Want me' by Jason Derulo but when we went down to Cornwall this year, it was played so much that now, when it comes on the radio, I just have to switch it off.

12) A Group You Wish Had Never Split
I wish JLS had never split up. I absolutely loved their music and I think the music industry really misses them.

13) Favourite Cover of a Song
This is the easiest answer ever; Sweater Weather covered by The Vamps. It is one of my favourite covers of a song and Brad's vocals are incredible!

14) Favourite Song from a Film
This song wasn't actually written for the film itself, but it is included in the film so I guess it counts right? One of my favourite songs from a film is 'You Make My Dreams' from 500 Days of Summer. If I had to choose a song from a musical film, I would choose 'Beauty School Dropout' from Grease.

15) Favourite Song From an Advert
I love the song from the ASDA advert on television at the moment. It's called 'Oh My Love' by The Score.

16) A Song you Grew Up With
As a kid, I grew up with a lot of different songs. However, I think the songs that sticks in my head the most are' Evergreen'  by Will Young, 'Man I Feel Like a Woman' by Shania Twain and 'Reach' by SClub 7

17) First Song/Album Bought
I think the first ever album I purchased was Atomic Kitten's Greatest Hits Album because I absolutely loved them.

18) Song You Found Accidently and Love
There are two songs that come to my mind. I found 'Dancing Song' by a band called Little Comets accidently but I love that song. It's so dancey and happy. I also found 'Firefly' by Jimmy Needham and it's very relaxed which is what I love about it

19) Favourite Foreign Language Song
As I studied, and failed, Spanish at GCSE we used to listen to Spanish radio when completing our work in our lessons. My favourite foreign song is 'Ai Se Eu Te Pego' by Michel Teló.

20) A Song from the Year you were Born
I'm not going to lie, I had to Google this, but a song from the year I was born is 'Men in Black' by Will Smith.

21) Song you will always get up and Dance too
This is so easy; 'I wanna dance with somebody' by Whitney Houston.

22) Artist your Parents Introduced you too
My parents influenced my music tastes a lot when I was younger, and one artist they introduced me too was Jamiroquai and I still love him now. My favourite song is a song called 'Blow Your Mind'

23) Song you would Recommend to Everyone
I would recommend 'Style' by Taylor Swift. It's my favourite song from her album and I love it a lot.

24) Song that reminds you of a Specific Event
One song that sticks in my mind  is 'New York New York' by Frank Sinatra. I ended my 18th on that Song so it's a massive reminded for me

25) Song that you can't help but sing along too
'I will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor. I absolutely love this song, it's definitely a sing along song in the car.

26) Happy Song
I think one of my main happy songs is 'Young Hearts Run Free' by Candi Staton. It's one of the best songs ever and never fails to cheer me up.

27) Favourite Slow Song
I love Ed Sheeran, so I think that one of my favourite slow songs is 'Thinking Out Loud'. I also really love 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri. The Vamps' song 'Shout About It' is the cutest song ever!

28) Song that will never get old
For me, this is definitely Uptown Funk. I can't not love that song. It'll definitely be one of my favourites for a very very long time.

29) Favourite Song At The Moment
I absolutely love 'Love Me' from Jess Glynne's new album.

30) All Time Favourite Song
My all time favourite song, which has already been mentioned above, is 'New York New York' by Frank Sinatra. It's such a classic!

I hope you enjoyed reading that as much as I enjoyed writing it. I tag Kathryn (imaginekathryn.blogspot.com) to do this tag as well as anyone else who would like to do this tag. If you do the tag, comment your responses below!

Lots of Love

The Disney Tag

Hello!
I was wandering around tumblr the other day, as you do, and I saw quite a few people doing a thing called 'The Disney Tag'. When I looked at the questions, I knew this was something that would have to appear on my blog, so to add to the Disney theme that's been going on lately, here's my Disney Tag!

1. A scene in any Disney movie you wish you could experience.
I wish that I could experience the scene in 'Tangled' where Rapunzel and Flynn are on the boat and all the lanterns slowly rise into the sky whilst they sing to each other. It's literally the cutest moment ever. I cry every single time.

  2. An unforgettable experience moment you've had at the Parks.

I've had quite a few unforgettable moments. Most of my memories are from the Disneyland Paris park, but my fondest memory is from when I was a little girl. We were queueing to wait for the parade and when it started, the float of Snow White came past. She was my favourite Princess when I was younger, and I had gone dressed as her that day. My Dad shouted her to try and get her attention and all the Seven Dwarves came running to me, all gave me hugs and let me walk around the rest of the parade with them. It's something I will never ever forget. That and the New Year celebrations in front of the Castle.

          3. Which Disney Character can you relate too the most?
This is so easy for me; Belle. This is due to the simple fact that we both love to read and she's one of my favourite Princesses.

4. When was the first time you went to a Disney Park?
The first time I went to a Disney Park, I was five years old and I went with my Mum, Dad, Grandma and Grandad. They took me to Disneyland Paris in August 2001 something like that.

5. If you could choose any of the characters to be your best friend who would you choose?
Ooooh this is a hard one; I think I would either choose Peter Pan or Tink. But then again, they come as a pair, so they're who I'd choose. They just seem like so much fun!

6. Who are you favorite Disney Princesses?
My favourite Disney Princesses are Belle, Snow White and Ariel.

7. Name a scene/moment in any Disney movie that never fails to make your cry.
The scene in Lilo and Stitch where Stitch messes everything up for Lilo and her family, so they tell him to leave and he wanders around in the rain looking so upset. That whole film just makes me cry my little heart out. There's also the scene in Peter Pan: Return To Neverland with Tinkerbell. I don't want to say what happens because it'll spoil it!

8. What is the first Disney Movie you remember seeing?
The first Disney movie I ever remember seeing is Jungle Book. The soundtrack to that movie is just the best!

9. What is your favorite Disney Movie?
This is soooo hard! I would have to say that it is between Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Tangled and Beauty & The Beast.

10. What is your favourite Disney song?
I have so many favourites; it changes on a daily basis. I think my top three would have to be Part of Your World from the Little Mermaid, I Wanna Be Like You from the Jungle Book and A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes from Cinderella.

11. What is your favourite Disney Duet?
I don't know if this has to be a boy and a girl, but my favourite disney duet is taken from The Little Mermaid II and it's the one sung by Ariel and Melody called 'For a Moment'.

12. What is your Favorite attraction/ride at the parks?
Easy! Peter Pan's Flight and Thunder Mountain.

13.
Who's the park character you never want to miss meeting at the parks?
Without a doubt, Peter Pan. He's absolutely hilarious and I love him to pieces. He makes me smile so much. But I also love Pluto too, he's the biggest cutie ever!

14. Favourite Disney sequel movie?
The Little Mermaid II. I bloody love that film!

15. Favourite Disney couple?
Rapunzel and Flynn, they're the cutest couple ever!

16. Favourite Disney merchandise?
The favourite piece of Disney merchandise that I own is my cuddly little Pluto teddy that I got from my most recent trip a couple of weeks ago.

17. Favourite Disney Price?
I don't know if you can already guess this answer but it is most definitely Flynn.

18. If you could live in any world from a Disney movie, which would you choose?
I would live in Neverland and be one of the mermaids.

19. Character that you think is very under-rated?
I think that Giselle from Enchanted is very under-rated, as is Flounder from the Little Mermaid.

20.
Which Disney movie will always have a special place in your heart and for what reason?
Snow White will forever hold a special place in my heart. I grew up watching that film and it will always be dear to me.

I really really really enjoyed doing that tag! It was so much fun!
I tag Kathryn (imaginekathryn.blogspot.com) and anyone else who wants to do this tag. Comment below if you do and I'll check out your answers to the questions!
