Weekly Update | Dancing, Beaches & Trafford Centre

28/05/2016 - 03/06/2015

I can't believe we're in June already; I'm 19 in less than a week! I remember getting ready for my 18th this time last year, and it only feels like it was yesterday. I hate how quickly the months go by, it'll be Christmas before we know it. The weather took a wonderful turn this week and I spent a lot of my time making the most of the sunshine.

Loving
On Sunday, my Parents and I went to take part in a charity event in Blackpool. The whole aim of the event was to get as many people northern soul dancing on the comedy carpet in order to beat a world record and raise money for Cancer Research UK. My Mum and Dad are massive soulies, so I was brought up on this music. Although, I didn't know half of the songs and I felt like a bit of a loon but it was all in good spirits. To see everyone dancing to songs they loved just had something electric about it. It felt amazing to be part of something so significant. As to if we broke the world record, I am completely unaware.

The fact that we went to Blackpool meant that I got to spend some time doing what I love; sitting by the sea. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and it was so nice to just sit and take in everything. I wish we lived closer to the beach, I'd never be away! Speaking of beaches, the whole fam took a trip to the beach on Monday for a little day out. I'm not sure where the beach was, or how we ended up there but it was a beautiful day and I spent a lot of my time playing with Buster in the sea.

Hating
I've been feeling extremely anxious this week and I don't know why. I've really not been feeling like myself and I have had various panic attacks throughout the week. The worst part is trying to act like you're okay because no one really knows what to do. My Mum has been an absolute angel and done everything in her power to help me stay calm and happy. I think I can sense my anxiety getting worse; I thought I'd got to the stage where I could control it but maybe it's just something that can't be controlled. I don't know.

Listening
My Summer playlist has made a return, and this week I've been listening to a lot of stuff that's pretty chill. I loooove The Vamps cover of Sweater Weather so I've been listening to that a lot; it seriously reminds me of being in Cornwall; I listened to it loads the other year when we were down there.

Wearing
Again I've been wearing a lot of shorts, t-shirts and summer dresses this week. One thing I'm completely obsessed with is scrunchies! I'm so glad they're making a return because they take me back to my Primary School days and I like that a lot. I picked some up from New Look when Charlotte and I went to the Trafford Centre on Friday and I've been loving wearing them. They look super cute.

In terms of make up, I've been really loving the 'Miss Sporty Stay Perfect Concealer' and there will be a review coming on that very soon so stay tuned!

Eating
I've been super unhealthy this week and I've had a lot of McDonalds. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that McDonalds banana milkshakes are the best thing to be invented? Despite me being quite unhealthy, I have found a new love for watermelon. It's so refreshing and I love it!

Feeling
Apart from feeling anxious, mostly I've been okay. I'm just grateful to be surrounded by amazing family and friends. Being able to sit by the beach and play with the dog made me so happy, I feel like I need to make up time with them because I've been away studying so much.

Moment
Without a doubt, the highlight of the week for me was...wait for it...WINNING THE PUB QUIZ. On Monday night, our team plodded up to our local pub and with a wonderful 47/50, won the pub quiz. I have never felt so proud in my entire life. My Dad walked home singing 'We Are the Champions' and told everyone he saw. However, what he didn't tell them was that before we won the quiz, he thought that the famous Leonardo DiCaprio was in fact the leader of the Conservative Party. I don't know what we're going to do with him, I honestly don't.

Lots of Love,
Meg

Weekly Update | Disney Chats, Relaxation & Jobs

21/05/2016 - 27/05/2016

Before you even start to fully get into this blog post, I'm going to warn you that it involves a rant and a very boring week. I've not done anything exciting this week (my life is so boring, honestly) but that's meant that I've been able to just relax and catch up on sleep. I've been feeling very very bored; now that I've finished Uni I've got absolutely nothing to do. I'm looking for a job but that's not going very well. I seriously miss working with the mouse.

Loving
This week, Liv and I filmed a 'sit-down' video for our YouTube channel. We have already uploaded two vlogs because we've been very busy bees so we thought it would be nice to just sit down and chat to our viewers. Our video this week was a debate, but not just any debate, a Disney debate. We discussed whether we prefer Classic Disney or Modern Disney, and it ended up with us singing 'Circle of Life'. It was absolutely hilarious and I loved just sitting down and chatting to the camera, especially because we got to wear our Minnie Mouse ears and my pretty tiara (I'm nearly 19, I swear). You can watch our video HERE.

I've been loving just being able to chill out this week and not have to rush around going to meetings or appointments. On Sunday, I spent the day watching Tangled snuggled up on the sofa with Buster. I don't know what more you could want really. Every time I watch that film (which I think is reaching the hundreds) I just love it even more. Rapunzel and Flynn melt my heart.

Also, this week we got our provisional results from Uni. Provisional meaning that they are subject to change. If you ask me, this was the most pointless thing in the world because they're still not reliable results and I'm probably more stressed out now than I was before. Anyway, surprisingly for me, I did quite well and my tutors were really impressed with what I wrote. Hopefully my grades don't change too much and I'll end first year with a 2:1 or a 1st!

Hating
Be prepared for a rant.
As I have previously mentioned, I'm getting very bored having nothing to do. This is why I'm currently looking for a job; and I'm applying everywhere and anywhere just to have a little bit of money so I can go out with my friends. I've received so many job rejections this week, all because they want more 'experience'. Well, please can someone inform me how on earth I'm supposed to get experience if no one is willing to offer it? It's not like they are jobs that even need experience, it's not that hard to work a till and it can be picked up pretty quickly. It just seems like no one is willing to train you up anymore.

I thought that having a company as respected as Disney on my CV would help me to get a job but it's looking like that isn't the case. No one wants to employ me and I don't know why. It's so frustrating and is seriously getting me down. I'm so bored please employ me!

Listening
Although the weather hasn't been great this week, I've been loving Reggie and Bollie's debut single New Girl. I loved these guys on X Factor and this song is definitely going to be one of those that you hear all the time and it will remind you of summer 2016. The Britain's Got Talent semi-finals have been taking place this week and I have been loving Wayne Woodward's cover of 'That's Life' by Frank Sinatra. As we all know, Frank is my favourite so I seriously judge people when they cover his songs. But I was soooo impressed with Wayne, I've been listening to his cover none stop since Monday night.

Wearing
Not so much fashion, but I've been loving wearing my hair naturally this week. I got quite a few messages on Twitter and Instagram asking me how I did my hair in our Disney Video. I basically just let it dry normally and then plait it to give it that extra bit of volume. I've been seriously loving it; it's so low maintenance and it looks so cool, especially for the summer. Liv walked into my room and thought I'd been to the beach. I might start adding some sea salt spray to it to see if it makes any difference; I love an extra beachy hair look.

Eating
I've been super unhealthy this week, consuming a lot of crisps and sweets. I really should be trying to get into shape for the summer but I just love food a bit too much. I'm going to try and be healthier next week. The one food I've been loving this week has been my Mum's pasta. I don't know how she makes it but it's the most beautiful creation.

Feeling
Chilled.
Seriously, just so relaxed and chilled. I'm completely rolling with life at the moment; whatever happens is going to happen and I'm loving every day for what it brings. Trying to get back into a positive mind-set is really hard, but I'm slowly getting there.

Moment
The highlight of this week for me was going to the pub quiz with Liv. We haven't been for a couple of weeks, and if you're wondering, we lost again. There was a picture round where you have to guess the name of the person who's photo is shown; simple enough right? Wrong! Liv and I were shocking at it; and there was one face we seriously recognised but couldn't put a name too. When the answers were read out, we realised that it was actually Christian Bale and finished the quiz with 36/50. What a let down we are!

Here's to another good week next week!

Lots of Love,
Meg

Weekly Update │Wolverhampton, Reunions & New Specs

14/05/2016 - 20/05/2016

This week has been very exciting; I've had a lot of time to reflect on the things that matter to me and thanks to the help of my wonderful friends, I'm learning to delete negative energy from my life. I've been all about positive vibes this week and although I've had my down moments, it's really helped to keep me grounded and happy. At this moment, things seem to be falling into place and they're actually starting to make sense. I can see people getting happier and that makes me happy too.

│Loving│
This week Charlotte, Liv and I went to see our friend Kathryn in her University performance. We travelled all the way to Wolverhampton to be able to support her and honestly I've never been so proud. It felt strange at first, because we're so used to being on stage together but once we got over that we cheered and danced along with her. We got her some flowers and a card as a way of saying congratulations and in true Kathryn style, she cried. Every time I've given her flowers she's cried; it must be something we're doing wrong.

I'd like to take this moment to say how much I love Wolverhampton. I've visited once before but didn't get to see as much of it as I would have liked. I was expecting it to be a complete dump but it's actually really lovely; it's much nicer compared to where I'm from. We found the most beautiful gardens outside the Arena Theatre and it felt like we were in a different part of the world. We'll definitely be going back to visit Wolverhampton and Kathryn very soon.

If you want to see all of the things we got up to in Wolverhampton, including our emotional reunion with Kathryn, then check out our VLOG

Hating│
If there's one thing that's really been getting on my nerves this week, it's people who can't take no for an answer. I just wish people would respect your decisions and support you in what you choose to do instead of having to push for what they want you to do or make you feel guilty for saying no. My happiness is more important than your expectations of me.

I've also been hating bullying this week. I think it's absolutely disgusting how someone can be made to feel so small and ridiculous by a group of people who think they're better than everyone else. I genuinely feel sorry for them; their lives are so boring and pathetic that they have to pick on someone else just to bring themselves a little bit of joy. Seriously, grow up.

│Listening│
There has been one song that has been on repeat for me this week and that song is 'Hair' by Little Mix. I've not been able to stop singing it, I didn't actually like it at first for some bizarre reason but now I just can't stop listening to it!

│Wearing│
In last week's update, I mentioned that I had been for my eyes tested and spent £50 on some new glasses. I went to pick my glasses up this week and when the optician called me over to try them on, I looked in the mirror and thought "What the hell have I chosen?". This always happens. Anyway,I got them home, wore them around the house for a bit and now I actually really really like them. I think they suit me much more than my old glasses did, although Mum thinks I look like a librarian.

│Eating│
Again, a lot of jacket potatoes have been consumed by me this week.
We went into Starbucks quite a lot this week, once in Wolverhampton and then again to meet our friend Rach who'd come home for the weekend. I'm so completely obsessed with the Starbucks s'mores chocolate and marshmallow frappucino. It's one of the nicest drinks in the history of ever, it makes me sad they're going to take it off the drinks menu soon.

│Feeling│
A mixture of happy and proud.
It's been so nice to be re-united with my friends from home, it makes me realise how much I miss being around them but also how strong our friendship is. We can go a month without speaking because of hectic Uni life but when we meet up, it's like we never stopped speaking which is lovely. Being able to watch Kathryn perform this week made me so proud; she's so talented and is definitely going far.

│Moment│
The highlight of this week for me has been being able to go to Wolverhampton. We felt like we were going on a little holiday and seeing Kathryn's reaction when she saw us with flowers was the cutest thing. I also made a lot of new friends as we got to meet all of Kathryn's flatmates. I love meeting new people, it's so much fun!

Weekly Update │ Meditation, Eye Tests & Sunshine

07/05/2016 - 13/05/2016

This year is going so quickly, and it's only dawned on me this past week. I have a month left of being an 18 year old; I'm growing up and I really don't want too. I've had a lot of time to reflect this week; trying to find out who I am again and get back on track with positivity. A lot of you really enjoyed reading my 'Late Night Ramblings' post from the other week, and that means so much to me. I really appreciate all the love and support I got because of it; and I'm also really glad some of you agreed with what I had to say!

│Loving│
I've been seriously loving the whole chill vibe this week. We went to the Kadampa Meditation Centre in Ulverston at the weekend and it was so peaceful and calming. I've spoken about it on my blog before, but every time I return it still makes me feel so content with life. I spent most of my day walking through the forest and sat on the beach with my writing journal. It was so peaceful to sit and listen to the waves crash against the pebbles as I wrote down some inspiration for new stories that I'm planning. It's so nice to be writing things that I want to write and not to please my lecturers; it made me realise why I'm doing the degree I chose and how much I love it.

I also went to go and get my eyes tested this week, and ended up paying £50 (which I don't have) for new glasses. After making me look at a balloon whilst they puffed air into my eye, and falling off the chair, we established that I am more blind than I was two years ago and that my eye sight is pretty shocking for my age. But it was all worth it in the end because I loved being able to pick out new glasses; it's one of the things I look forward too each year (I know, how sad!).

Hating│
Despite being able to go and do some meditation at the Buddhist Temple this week, I've been feeling pretty low. I have periods when I'm the happiest little ray of sunshine, but mostly at night when I'm in bed and over thinking, I just put myself in a really bad mood. I need to get myself out of this habit and accept that what happens in life happens for a reason.

Results day was announced this week, and I'm very very nervous to see what the tutors thought of my writing. Even to this day, I hate sharing my writing with people so I'm dreading to hear what they all think about it. Speaking of University, I really don't want to have to leave my flat. That room is my room; it's seen me cry, be happy and stumble in after spending a night at the Pilgrim. It makes me feel weird that someone else is going to be in that room next year, like get off my turf.

│Listening│
The weather has been beautiful this week, so my summer playlist has made a return. I've been spending a lot of my time sat in the garden with my speaker playing the best summer tunes. My personal favourite this week has been the new single from Justin Timberlake 'Can't Stop the Feeling'. It's such a feel good summer song; it makes me want to get up and have a boogie.

│Wearing│
My shorts and dresses have made a return this week, I've been getting my legs out to try and get started with a little bit of a tan. I'm so happy I've been able to get my summer wardrobe back out again; I always feel prettier in summer clothes, is that just me?

│Eating│
Jacket potatoes.
Why didn't I discover these things before? I mean I knew that existed but oh my goodness they are beautiful creations. I've been eating so many of them this week, I'm surprised I haven't turned into one myself. This is another sign I'm turning into an old woman; I'm obsessing over jacket potatoes. Someone help, please.

│Feeling│
Proud. My friend told me this week that she's making a big life choice and is considering starting University after taking a year out. I can't put into words how proud I am of her; it takes a lot of guts to do what she's doing and I just hope it's all she wants it to be and that all of her dreams come true!

│Moment│
The highlight of this week has been being able to meditate at the Kadampa Centre. It was such a beautiful experience, and I would do it over and over again if I could. I just like being able to sit, relax and let all my worries melt away for a little while.

Here's to a better week next week!

Lots of Love,

Weekly Update │ Zoo, Manchester & YouTube

30/04/2016 - 06/05/2016

This week has been one of the best weeks of the year; the weather has been beautiful, I've been more daring with my fashion choices and I've been able to meet a wonderful new friend whom I know is a friend I'll have for a very very long time.

│Loving│
This week I've been loving quite a lot. Of course I've been loving the abnormally beautiful weather we've been having here in the UK, but I've also been loving spending time with my friends and getting to meet new people. One of my loves this week has been penguins; I'm officially obsessed, they're just so cute and fluffy. I really loved taking a trip to the Zoo with my friends, I wrote a blog post about it here. This week also saw the start of a big adventure for me; YouTube. My best friend and I have started a YouTube channel, and of course it's nowhere near an amazing standard but we're working on it, and it'd mean the world if you could go and check it out, maybe even give it a little subscribe if you're feeling kind. I'll leave a link to it here. I really love editing the videos, it's so fun!

│Hating│
I've not really been hating a lot this week, apart from the fact that I haven't been too well. The whole thing of warm weather hasn't really been agreeing with me. Also, people on trains. This is a very broad thing to hate, but I just can't be coping with drunk people on trains who think it's okay to keep burping in my face. I don't want your alcoholic burps being the only thing I can smell. Also, why do people try and talk to you when you clearly have headphones in? I'm not being rude, I just genuinely cannot hear a word you're saying.

│Listening│
I've been mentioning this guy soooo much lately, but I am loving listening to Zak Abel at the moment. If you haven't heard of him yet, either go and look him up on Spotify or YouTube because honestly that guy is amazing!

│Wearing│
I spoke previously about my daring fashion choices, and I'll be honest with you, they're not really that daring. I bought some bandanas to try out for the Summer and honestly I think I love them. They just look super cute and they're perfect to add into your hair to jazz up a ponytail or something. I'll definitely be buying some more!

│Eating│
This week, I was very lucky enough to be able to meet a new friend. Jade (from jadeoutsidethetower) and I met up on Friday in Manchester to have a day of shopping, laughs and Wagamama. It was both of our first times eating in Wagamama and we didn't really have a clue what we were doing. We both ordered the curry, and oh wow it was so yummy! I can't believe I've never tried Wagamama before, what is going on with me?!

│Moment│
The highlight of the week for me has definitely been going to the Zoo and also visiting Jade in Manchester. I can't believe that we got on so well, and I can't wait to meet up with her very soon so that we can do the whole day again (and hopefully not get lost this time!).

Have a great week!

Lots of Love,

Weekly Update │Manchester, Shopping & Mcfly

23/04/2016 - 29/04/2016

It's almost May, how is that even possible? Christmas only feels like it was two days ago, and now we're almost halfway through the year. This week, I've just not known what on earth to do with myself. Because I've got no real purpose to be here in Liverpool at this moment, I just want to spend all of my time at home, but at the same time, I hate having to keep getting the train back to Liverpool to go and do things with my friends. This could be laziness on my part, but it's just so expensive.

Despite me being bored all the time and literally pacing the house trying to find something to do, this week has actually been very very good. I went out on Saturday night with a few of my friends for drinks and dances around Liverpool. It was a kind of 'end of uni' celebration for me, and we had the best night. Okay, yes I did have a little to drink, but I wasn't THAT drunk, just happy. I love going out and just dancing and singing and having an absolute blast with my friends; it makes me happy.

I also think the reason I had a little too much to drink was the fact that I'd just spent over £70 in New Look. It's 20% off for students at the moment so as a little treat from me too me, I decided to get started on my Spring/Summer wardrobe (it was sunny at the time, not like it is now with the snow and rain). I picked up some absolutely gorgeous things, one of which is a pair of dungarees that I am completely and utterly obsessed with. I wasn't sure if to get them at first, because they're not something I would normally wear, but I took a risk and now I absolutely love them. I wore them to the Pub Quiz on Monday, which we lost again by one point. I don't think we're ever going to come anywhere in this Quiz.

One of the nicest things about this week has been meeting up with friends who I haven't seen for a very very long time. Charlotte, one of my best friends from college, and I went shopping in Liverpool (again!) and had a chance to catch up on each others lives. We go to the same Uni, but we're both always so busy so we don't get as much time to see each other as we would like. We had a browse around the shops, and I picked up a few more things including a grey hoodie from Forever 21, and some new make-up (it was 3 for 2 in Boots, I couldn't resist). We then went for Pizza with her younger sister and it was so nice to see her; I can't believe how much she's growing up, it makes me feel old!

I hate trains. We all know I hate trains. But this week I went off to Manchester, on a train believe it or not, and I had the loveliest day out with my friends. We went for a meeting with an editor to talk about a new project we're going to be working on, but we decided to head into Manchester early and spend the day there. I don't go to Manchester a lot, so it was nice to be able to walk around and almost get killed by a moving tram. They really need to make those tram lines clearer, I nearly got killed like six times. The meeting went really well, and when I can tell you all more about it, I will!

As I write this blog post for you, I'm in a little bit of a down mood. One, because I'm seriously missing Disney right now, and two because I've just attempted (and failed) to get me and Liv tickets to see McFly in the Summer. We tried to get them from LiveNation, who didn't put the tickets up on sale on time and then when they did, they were all sold out. Great. The thing I'm hating this week is ticket scouts, the people that buy a bunch of tickets to a gig they don't intend to go too and then sell them on for hundreds of pounds. I mean, I love Mcfly but I'm never going to pay £100 to see them. I don't think I'd pay £100 to see anyone. You'd think by now there'd be a way to stop people from doing this, it's so annoying.

Speaking of Liv, my bestest friend has started using her blog again (much to me pestering her 24/7), so I think you should go and check it out, because I love it and I'm sure you'll love it too!
Lots of Love

Weekly Update │ Deadlines, Home & Ian McKellen

16/04/2016 - 22/04/2016

It feels weird not starting the post with a photo, but I've been cooped up in my bedroom all week trying to get something submitted for Uni. It's been so horrible being stuck in my room doing work when the weather has been so beautiful outside. But, now everything has been completed, my first year at Uni is done and as I write this, I'm sat in my garden, the sun is shining on my face and I've got Nelly Furtardo 'I'm like a Bird' blasting from Spotify's 'Feel Good Friday' Playlist.

This week, something extremely bizarre happened. Liv and I went to see at play at the Liverpool Everyman Theatre called 'Iphigenia in Splott'. The play was absolutely amazing, it was a one woman show and how she managed to know every single line and still stay in character I have no idea! It was such a good performance, so current and real; definitely worth watching if you get the chance too. Anyway, as I was saying, Liv and I were sat in the theatre waiting for the show to start and Liv turned to me and said "Meg, don't freak out, but is that Ian McKellen sat behind us?". I laughed, like THE Sir Ian McKellen would be at the Everyman Theatre watching a play.

I had to be so discreet when turning around, so I pretended that we were waiting for someone (top acting on my part there) and as I turned round, who was sat there behind us but THE Ian McKellen. I shot around quickly and looked at Liv in bewilderment. IAN MCKELLEN. REALLY. He was so chilled, no one really bothered him and he just sat enjoying the play. It's nice to know that he can do that; not be pestered by people asking for photos. We were going to go and speak to him after the show, because Liv wanted some advice on acting, but as soon as the actress took her bows he was off. We got out of the theatre but he'd already gone. It was gutting, BUT at least we can say that we have sat in front of Sir Ian McKellen at a theatre. We then went back to the flat, had a night in singing High School Musical and drinking vodka. What more could you want really?

Then the hard work started. Deadline week was here, and it's been one of the most stressful weeks of my life. I've just been like a massive bundle of stress for the full week just trying to get everything submitted. I think that since I've gone to uni I just procrastinate so much more than usual. Everything distracts me. I ended up watching videos of pandas in a zoo playing on a slide (pandas have kind of been a thing with me this week), like god Meg get organised and get your degree!

Finally, last night I submitted everything and it was the best feeling in the world. I can't tell you how free I feel. I've been loving listening to Nathan Sykes this week; he's been the soundtrack to my week and I've been dancing along whenever I've had a spare moment to just take my stress out.

I've got so much planned over the Summer and I'm so excited to share everything with you; there also may be a plan for DLRP coming soon....maybe ;)

Lots of Love,
Meg

Weekly Update │ Pub Quiz, The Vamps & Puppies

09/09/2016 - 15/09/2016

It's been another crazy crazy busy week this week. I've had so much going on, and just not enough time to get everything done.

I've been feeling very un-inspired this week, deadlines are extremely close but I'm just not motivated to write. I seem to get like this sometimes, where I just can't even begin to think about putting words on a page because I know it'll turn out the worst possible way. I've spent most of my week in the library working, panicking and crying. I just want to get this first semester of Uni over so then I can do all the things I'm already doing, without feeling guilty.

This week was a very special week for my parents. On the 9th April, they celebrated 20 years of marriage. I don't understand how two people can stay together that long, but they inspire me that true love actually exists somewhere. Apparently, my Disney inspired card was one of the best they received; I felt extremely honored. I'm so glad the weather was so nice for them, it's really starting to feel like Spring isn't it?

Because the weather was so nice over the weekend, I decided to take a walk down at the Albert Dock. There's something about being down there that calms and inspires me. I really should make more of an effort to go down there because it's the most beautiful place to be. I don't think I could live in a more beautiful city, I'll be very honest with you. The blossom on the trees also made me very happy, I love it when the sun is shining and everyone gets their sunglasses out. Summer makes me happy.

On Monday, I headed home for the pub quiz, which we lost by one point again, I was fuming!! Going home also involved watching embarrassing videos of me when I was younger singing 'reach for the stars' on karaoke and dancing around the living room like I'd had too much to drink. However, we also found some videos of my first time visiting Disneyland Paris with my whole family, and it's the cutest video I have ever seen. My Grandma and Grandad just look so happy to be there, and I meet Minnie Mouse for the first time. I'm getting all giddy just thinking about it!

I also got the chance to meet some beautiful Guide Dog puppies. We weren't allowed to take photos of them, for various reasons, but honestly, they were the cutest little bundles of joy. Our puppy was a little golden retriever named Hattie. I felt really bad for the other people in my group, because all Hattie wanted to do was sit on my knee for cuddles. This new 'puppy room' craze actually works for de-stressing. It made me feel extremely content and loved. I JUST LOVE DOGS!

As you all probably know, this week I went to watch the Vamps so they're something I've been really loving. I had the album on repeat all day Tuesday getting me in the mood for the concert and still trying to get the rap right in 'Volcano'. I'm not going to go into too much detail about it because I did a whole blog post HERE. I'll just say that it was amazing though, like genuinely amazing.

I've been loving finding new music this week, and I'm completely obsessed with a guy called Zak Abel. My friend told me to check out some of his songs, and he's been the one artist on repeat on my ipod this week. My music has really been getting me through all the stress of these deadlines. It sometimes is a bit of a distraction though, because I just want to sing along and dance but I know I can't because I'll get thrown out of the library if I do. I just can't wait for it to be summer, and summer dress weather. Please can the nice weather just hurry up?!

Lots of Love,
Meg

Weekly Update │ Travels, Pizza and Open Mic Nights

02/04/2016 - 08/04/2016

So, I thought it would be really fun to add something new on my blog. I post a lot about Disney, books and my favourite beauty products, but I think my favourite thing to blog about is what I've been up too, what I've been loving and what I've been hating. To rectify this, every Friday, I'm going to be uploading a 'Weekly Updates' Post. I hope you enjoy!

I had a very lovely start to the week this week, being re-united with my four best friends whom I spent 4 years doing drama with. We used to see each other every single day, but since we've all moved to Uni we don't get to be together as much and it's really sad. So, on Saturday, we all plodded down to Kathryn's for a Pizza night. I just love spending time with the drama girls, because honestly, we do nothing but laugh. It makes my week every time I get to see them. We watched the Saturday Night Takeaway finale with our dominoes pizza, singing along to mysterious girl with Peter Andre. I mean what more could you want to do on a Saturday night really?

I've also been doing a lot of shopping this week, we went to the most beautiful arcade in Southport where I picked up a few more items of clothing including a gorgeous striped crop top from Topshop. I just love getting my student loan paid in so I can go and buy loads of crap that I don't actually need.

Then, before I knew it, I was on my way back to the city of dreams, well, Liverpool. Not really the city of dreams as such but still pretty awesome. It's lovely to go home and spend a few weeks with the family, but I miss being here; my friends, the nightlife and of course spending every waking hour in the library. Which, is what I seem to have been doing since I've been back here. Deadline week is creeping forever closer, and I probably should be doing some work now, but here I am, writing a blog post. Priorities guys, priorities.

Looking happy, but you're dying inside because deadline week is next week!!!!

One of the best parts of the week was being able to attend the final 'In The Red' which is an open mic night hosted by the Uni for all of the creative writing students, and pretty much anyone who wants to share their work with people. I didn't read out this time; I just can't pluck up the courage to read out some of my work to people. I'll do it next year though; I promise. It was a really great night, and seeing all the third years get emotional because they knew they were leaving made quite a big impact on me. I can't begin to tell you how quick my first year at Uni has gone, so to know that it'll be me graduating in two years is CRAZY!

I've been listening to The 1975 new album this week, and I just can't put into words how much I love it. I feel like, every time I listen to it, I just love it even more; if that's even possible. I'm also going to see The Vamps next week, which I'm soooooo looking forward too, so be expecting a blog post on that sometime next week! I've got a lot of fun stuff coming up and I can't wait to write about it and share it with everyone.

People have been annoying me this week; especially people who can't take constructive criticism. If someone asks me to look over their work, and give them feedback on how they can improve, do not go off on one when I tell you that something's not working and could do with being changed. I just hate people like that; don't ask for criticism if you can't take it!! I've also been hating teeth this week. Toothache sucks. I've been buying loads of new tooth products to try and combat it. I'm yet to go and see the dentist, because I think we all know I hate them more than anything.

Overall, I really just want to get this whole deadline thing over with. My final deadline is 22nd April, so after that I'm free! There's so much stress, and I constantly seem to be taking naps instead of actually working so I need to get myself out of that habit. Uni's so stressful, like you'd expect but I guess it'll all be worth it when you throw your cap in the air at your graduation ceremony? right?

Lots of Love
Meg
